These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of alm-legal.com and the firm's online intake and scheduling tools (the "Site"), operated by ALM Legal, LLC ("ALM Legal," "the firm," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The content of this Site, including the case-review questionnaire and any "fit" assessment it generates, is for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything on this Site without seeking professional counsel.
Using this Site, submitting the questionnaire, scheduling or attending a consultation, or contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship with ALM Legal is formed only when both you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement.
Information you submit through the Site before a signed engagement is not protected by the attorney-client privilege and may not be treated as confidential. Please do not send sensitive, privileged, or time-sensitive information through the Site. If your matter has a deadline, contact a licensed attorney promptly — deadlines and statutes of limitation may bar your claim if missed.
The case-review questionnaire provides a preliminary, automated screening only. A result indicating a "strong fit," "worth a conversation," or otherwise is not legal advice, not an evaluation of the merits of your matter, and not a promise that the firm will represent you or achieve any particular outcome. The firm may decline any matter in its discretion, including after a consultation and after running a conflict-of-interest check.
Certain matters — generally transactional and advisory work — require a paid initial consultation. Other matters may be offered a complimentary case evaluation. Applicable fees are shown before you book and are processed through Clio Payments, our integrated payment service.
Amber Montgomery is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Washington, and the firm is based in Marietta, Georgia. Nothing on this Site is an offer to represent you in a jurisdiction where the firm is not authorized to practice. Matters in other jurisdictions are handled only where permitted or with appropriately licensed co-counsel. The firm does not provide patent-prosecution services, which require a separately licensed registered patent attorney.
The Site and its content — including text, design, graphics, logos, and the case-review tool — are owned by ALM Legal, LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse them without our written permission.
You agree not to misuse the Site, including by submitting false information, attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
The Site relies on and may link to third-party services (such as Google and Clio). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALM Legal, LLC and Amber Montgomery will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Site. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law or the rules of professional conduct.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ALM Legal, LLC and Amber Montgomery from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. [Add a venue or dispute-resolution clause if desired — confirm your preference.]
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
